Treatment of the Fractures with the Intramedullary Nailing

Abstract
|

|
Authors reviewed 43 fractures of tibia fixated with Ender nails (16 cases) or Interlocking nails(27 cases) at the Seoul Red Cross Hospital from July, 1990 to september,1993.
The follow-up period was minimum 6 months.
@ES The result were as follows:
@EN 1) The union of fracture was achived at from 18 to 90 weeks in Ender nailing group, and from 16 to 46 weeks in interlocking nailing group.
2) The complication such as angulation(3 cases) and limittation of ROM on knee join(2 cases) were observe only in Ender nailing group, in fection was developed 2 cases in Rnder nailing group and 2 cases in Interlocking nailing group, and
non-union
and
delayed union was developed 2 cases in ender nailing group and 2 cases in Inerlocking nailing group.
